PM The session is over, Roland is examining the data and he is
quietly satisfied with the progress made today. “We tried the new
tires that Kumho wanted to work though and bedded in the new car
although it isn’t set up for this track, and have got long
trouble-free runs on both cars in. We have completed today’s
schedule, now we need to study the data and prepare for tomorrow.”

PM “I like the
track,” reports Ruben, who has been discussing the new tire
compounds with Jason Myers. "It’s quick but dirty off the line; the
car was ok, the tires are getting better, they have good grip in the
high speed corners, and we are climbing in a good way. Francesco
meanwhile is running very well for his first run in an RSR and in
fact on what is a major career step upwards. |

Just over two years old, the
Miller Motorsports Park provides a demanding challenge with four
different circuit configurations available, and it provides the best
pit facilities on the ALMS series, VICI Racing working from a large
double garage that opens onto the pitlane. On its third visit, and
for the first time, the ALMS series will this year use the 14-turn,
3.06-mile ‘Perimeter’ Course (also called the Outer Course), which
eliminates all the twists of the entire infield section and is one
of the fastest track layouts in North America, featuring a
3,500-foot main straight where speeds will reach 200 mph and with
cornering speeds from 50 to 100 mph. |

Sunday, and big changes are in store for VICI Racing. We have
expanded to a two car line up, with the brand new #18 Porsche 911
GT3 RSR having just been delivered to the team, and joining the #5

all very excited and are now knuckling down to prepare for this
afternoon's first track runs.
