It's been a warm and sunny day at Mosport. A couple of minor issues
have seen the team staying off the track this afternoon and instead
concentrating on preparing for tomorrow's practice and qualifying
sessions. Tim is currently applying the swage of mandatory series'
official decals that are carried on the car. |

Nicky and Francesco are in the garage. "I’m looking forward to
Mosport as I believe it is another fast circuit that is good for the
driver," says Nicky. "I’m keen to learn this track and I’m getting
quite familiar with the RSR now. Road America is the only track on
the schedule this year that I have driven on before so it’s back to
learning another track. We made another step forward at Road
America, especially with the improved durability of the tires, and
although we struggled with them a bit in the practice sessions, it
all came together for the race for sure and we were able to run
quick, consistent lap times. Kumho promises to have new compounds
for us to try this week for I hope we will take another step
forward.” |

10:15 AM
The familiar face of Alfred Renauer is a welcome sight in the
paddock this morning. The German youngster is very closely linked to
the team. Alfred won the first ever round of the IMSA GT3 Cup in
2005 driving for VICI Racing. His brother Robert drove for the team
in GrandAm at Daytona last year. Both are very quick and this season
Alfred has been driving a Lamborghini Gallardo GT3 in the VLN series
at the Nürburgring and turning in very good results. This morning
though he's helping out cutting vinyl. |

9:00 AM Big task for the morning
is decaling the #18 car into the new black, white and red livery
that the team will be running this weekend. There is a lot of work
to be done and most of the crew are involved. Here mechanic Jody
Coenen is applying red vinyl to the A-pillar. |
