13.04.2008 NATHAN SWARTZBAUGH TO OFFER LONG BEACH STUDENTS TIPS ON WINNING

Racers Who Care spokesracer, former IMSA Grand Am GT3 Champion, and Tequila Patron American Le Mans Series GT2 competitor in the upcoming Grand Prix of Long Beach, Nathan Swartzbaugh, is to share his personalized Quick Tips on Winning in Life with 150 Long Beach elementary school students on Wednesday, April 16.

The students are participants in the Buffum YMCA’s after school program in the Long Beach area. Swartzbaugh has teamed up with VICI Racing for his first full season of IMSA’s gruelling American LeMans endurance competition, in their Tornos/Kumho Tire-sponsored Porsche 911 GT3 RSR. Swartzbaugh’s Quick Tips presentations center on key universal truths RWC calls Quick Tips on Winning in Life, applicable to all children and teens regardless of age, cultural background, or life experience: find something to do in life that you really love, study, learn the art of teamwork, find a mentor, take the long view, be flexible with your dreams and goals, avoid the path of least resistance, and more.

The Quick Tips on Winning in Life racer presentations to children’s groups, schools, hospitals and other Southern California locales, are a community outreach of Racer Who Care’s proposed 2009 National Child’s Day Celebration, June 6 and 7, 2009, at Santa Monica’s Third Street Promenade.

The presentations are also an avenue through which professional racers can give back to the communities where they live and race.
