Chicago, Illinois -
The intensive program
of three American Le Mans Series (ALMS) races taking place
this month far north of VICI Racing’s, Miami,
Florida HQ has seen team partner LuxuryMotors.com
playing an important role in the major logistical
challenge being faced.
Luxurymotors.com, the
worlds largest online retailer of high performance
and luxury cars, joined the team as a strategic
partner in May, and its name has graced the #18
Porsche 911 GT3 RSR, alongside Hughes Telematics,
Hughes Network Systems and Wempe at the Utah Grand
Prix, as well as the Acura Sports Car Challenge of
Mid-Ohio in July and the most recent ALMS round, the
Generac 500 at Road America, last weekend.
Now LuxuryMotors.com
has stepped up the partnership with VICI Racing in a strategic area
by providing invaluable logistical support for the
intensive August race program. This summer schedule
kicked off at Road America last weekend (7-9 August) and now moves
on to Mosport in Canada (22-24 August) before finally
a week later to
Detroit (29-30 Aug) is the venue.
In the days prior to
the race at Road America the team shipped its
trucks, equipment and key components of the workshop
infrastructure northwards to LuxuryMotors.com's
headquarters in Chicago. Using the firm's one-of-a
kind indoor Distribution Facility is proving
invaluable as the team is now preparing for the trek
even further north to the Mosport track near Toronto
in Canada next week. LuxuryMotors.com houses nearly
400 of their high-end vehicles indoors at this
unique warehouse facility but has made some working
space available for the VICI Racing crew to use.
Mike Sellen, Director
of Marketing for LuxuryMotors.com says: “It's been
great having the guys from VICI Racing here in
Chicago. We were
excited about the opportunity for them to use our
warehouse as a temporary base of operations as the
season has brought them up north. It’s been very
exciting for our staff to watch them work and we’re
looking forward to more great racing as the season
continues.”
